Setup
1) Download PPSSPP for your OS here
http://www.ppsspp.org/downloads.html
2) Launch PPSSPP and you will be greeted by a dazzling interface. Under the games tab in the window, hit
Browse and select the folder that contains your .ISO
3) Now you should see your game, select
Dissidia 012 and the game should launch.
Congratulations, you can now play
Dissidia 012 against the computer! However if you'd like to try playing against a non-artificial opponent, continue reading.
Configuring Settings for Online
4) In the main page of PPSSPP, you can click settings to access
Settings. If you're not jumping out of your seat in bewilderment now you'd better start holding on because we're just getting started. [You can also access
Settings in-game, with a controller or keyboard you can assign a button to it.]
5) Under
Graphics, make sure ,
Mode is
Buffered Rendering. Or not. Your call.
6) Under
Controls. We'll skip connecting a controller for now, let's just assume we are using a keyboard. Sure. Go to
control mapping and assign as you please. Why is this important for online? It's not. Damn.
7) Under
Networking, ensure that
Enable networking/WLAN is checked
8) Under
Networking, ensure that
Enable built-in PRO ad hoc server is unchecked
9) Under
Networking,
Change PRO ad hoc server IP address, type in the correct IP. We'll get back to this.
10) While you're still under
Networking, go ahead and
Change Mac Address, just hit that until you get some lucky numbers or something I don't know.
Configuring IP
11) There are many IP's to choose from. If you want to use coldbird.net, type coldbird.net into the
Change PRO ad hoc server IP address under
Networking from Step 9. I recommend using coldbird.net
11x) You can also check how many are online in coldbird.net with this link
http://pro.coldbird.net/status/
11x2) Another IP to use is livepsp.net you can find a decent amount of people here
http://livepsp.net/ currently working on cross-compatibility.
12) Now that you and a buddy have followed all of these steps, simply go to
Dissidia's multiplayer mode and join the same room. [Hopefully] you will see each other.
13) Any errors you may get can be resolved by trying again. Well if not then uhh
14) When playing online try to avoid
using Custom DLC in Dissidia
Alright, in only 14 steps your life has been improved by some amount. Go forth and spread dominion!
But what's this? Extra steps? Not like this... Not like this.
Connecting a controller to
x15) Okay so you probably don't want to play on a silly keyboard. Plus that extra PS3 controller you have lying around is looking pretty good. Real good. Use this link
http://emulation-general.wikia.com/w...Driver_Package and follow the steps so that you may crush those keyboard-using ne'er-do-wells
Adding DLC
x16) And you are probably also thinking that your game would look pretty good with DLC. In the folder that has the PPSSPP application executable[s]'s, go to the
memstick folder, into
PSP, into
GAME and create a folder to place DLC in corresponding to your game in this following fashion:
memstick>PSP>GAME>ULES01505>bunch of edats and whatnot in here
Make sure the folder name corresponds to your game.
