Feel free to discuss the mini tournament Salt Express and future GYGOs for Season 3.
Salt Express will run exactly the same way in spirit as other GYGOs in the past with the following notable features:
-Maximum size if 32 man bracket limit. (2 day weekend tournament)
-Ultimecia's Castle Ω and Planet's Core Ω are banned due to disconnection issues.
-Omega Stages (except UC Ω and PT Ω) are allowed (see below)
-The Rift and Phantom Train are allowed (see below)
-Chase is allowed.
-Summons are allowed. (see below)
-Dave's stupid rule is in effect.
-Banning of two stages is allowed before the opponent chooses his stage.
-Coin flip decides who strikes 1st.
-seven (7) stages to strike from a set of:
These stages were chosen for variety and testing to see if any of these are viable as start stages for the major in the future. In the past we had seen many of the same stages repeat over and over and it is time to spice things up and try something different as well as get more data. This pool tries to give light to lesser used stages while giving you wider choices. Some of you may have gripes with the stages but I urge you to try them or strike those stages you do not want to play at all. I am looking forward to see how players adapt in different circumstances, what they choose, and how they perform.
Also there are no blindpicks unless you really need them. Players should agree to a MU. In the worst possible case the player can ask for a blindpick but that is the last resort. Try to agree on a MU. Do not go for blindpick unless you failed to agree after actually trying to agree on a MU.
Remember to save all replays as they may be uploaded if time permits.
The tournament starts May 10th @ 2PM PDT which is 5PM EDT and 9PM GMT.
The tournament is global and is open to everyone.
Feel free to discuss/hype/etc. Feel free to ask any questions. I am also open to suggestions.
