How Do I ACN?

So, Aevie and I were discussing her options for what to do with her Arcanist (and mine whenever I decide to build it up), and while we know you can get both the SCH and SMN soulstones, we don't know if it's possible to be able to competently be both.

Is it possible to have both the SCH and SMN jobs be good? Or do you have to sacrifice one for the other? Or would splitting your bonuses make you meh at both?
