[Ruleset & Sign Up] "The Promised Land" Single Elimination Tournament

Ruleset

• NA Copy of Duodecim Dissidia Final Fantasy.
• PPSSPP 1.1.1-222 (Adam Build) 32bit [WINDOWS ONLY].
• Hamachi (mandatory) | coldbird.net (optional).
• In-game rules set to: Official (Full gear/no jobs).
• Ruleset: Official (Full Equips).
• Feral Chaos banned.
• Infinites banned.
• Hacked Items banned.
• Any other form of cheating (CWcheat, NitePR, FreeCheat, etc.) banned.
• 1-hit chase (more information below).
• Single elimination.
• All sets are best of 5.
• Dave's Stupid Rule (see the Counterpicking System for further information).
• Aerith Assist is banned for this tournament (see the Assist Ban Rule for further information).
• You are required to be at this Discord Server on the day of the tournament and send a Direct Message to the @mods or RDF 30 minutes before it begins to make sure you are participating.

Additional Rules

Dave's Stupid Rule
Match 1: Only the above 3 started stages will be available for choice and they will be chosen on a smash striking system. Both players must decide who gets to strike a stage out first or decide it with a coin toss. After this decision:

1. Player A must choose to strike out between: Orders's Sanctuary, Sky Fortress Bahamut and Lunar Subterrane[/b]
2. Player B chooses to strike out one of the 2 remaining stages.
3. Both players pick their character and PM it to the TO (Double Blind Pick).
4. The TO will annouce the characters with the stage name.
5. Both players pick their character and customize at will.

Match 2:

1. The Counterpicking Stages are available to use.
2. Winner of Match 1 strike one of the stages of the list above (including CP Stages).
3. Next, the loser of Match 1 picks one of the reamining 9 stages.
4. Then, both players do a double-blind character pick.
5. And finally, the TO will annouce the characters with the stage name.

Match 3-5: Same procedures of Match 2 apply, based on the previous Match results.


Gentleman's Agreement (Optional):

• Agreed Match Ups.
• No Final Ex Revenge.

1-hit chase rule

Example

Player 1 starts a chase sequence and Player 2 dodges the BRV input/attack of Player 1, then Player 1 dodges Player 2 's HP attempt/attack and hit him with a BRV chase/attack. Here/In this situation Player 1 can do either of two things;

1. End the chase {best choice}.
2. Continue and use a empty chase to not put any distance between us.

Tournament Day

Set Details

• All rounds are 3/5.
• The Losers of the semifinals must play an extra set to decide who will be taking the third place of the tournament.
• Save ALL your matches and send the replays to thedissidiaforums@gmail.com.
• Any rage-quitting behavior, be it "softly" (pressing Start > giving up the match) or "hardly" (closing the PPSSPP, etc.) will result in a disqualification from the tournament as per the requirements of the previously mentioned point.
