There is something about this princess that i find curious. It concern her apparence. Did you noticed she has some details in common with the emperor ? Like the robe, the cape or the horns. Does they have link ? I played FFII Two times, and i noticed it a moment ago. I was thinking about a theorie but i'm not sure. Or perhaps i'm seing similitues where there are not. It could be just the Cloths that you're wearing when you are a prince or a princess
