Hey guys, I've been working on my drawing a bit lately and decided to try my hand at final fantasy scenes now (as opposed to landscapes). Anyway, I'm having a hard time with this one. It's an airship from ffiii, largely based on a drawing I found online. To add some background and depth I wanted to make some small floating islands in the back. However after making the first it doesn't look like it's far away at all. More like some weird floating thing above the actual ship.
So my question is, how do I make the floating island go more towards the background? I've already used my blendstick to make the lines a little less strong and I'll add some more of these islands even further in the background but I doubt this will be enough to fix it. I was thinking I might need some clouds or something to space in between the ship and the island.
So yeah, help would be much appreciated.
Note: it's work in progress, I still need to fix many parts of the ship as well. But if you got comments aside from the island, please tell me.
